The Auburn Oaks at Toomer’s Corner have been a staple in Auburn football history since the late 1930s. After a win for the Tigers, faithful fans traditionally stream to the location and toss rolls of toilet paper into the trees. Unfortunately, the original trees were poisoned in 2010 and removed in 2013. Replacement trees were planted in 2015 but a fire caused damage to the trees and they were removed again.

The current Auburn Oaks were replanted early in 2017, but the university had requested fans to refrain from rolling the trees during the establishment period. That establishment period is now complete Auburn announced on Tuesday with university officials clearing fans to “once again be able to roll our most prominent trees.” Alex Hedgepath, an Auburn University arborist, also expects the trees “to grow vigorously and become further established.” After a lengthy delay, Auburn fans can finally let the good times roll!
