Whew!! Made it home. Went to Texas for Spring Break. The drive home was something. Sure hope all the Texas folks in SoWal for Spring Break make it home safe and sound. It is snowing in Dallas. It poured most of the way from Dallas to SoWal today. Couple of bad accidents -- Tyler I-20 and then Gulfport, Biloxi on I-10. Pouring in Mississippi and Alabama today, Saturday. Looks like issues for Sunday travel, too. Slow down. BTW. Cops on 49 from Shreveport to LaFayette are out in force. Don't even think about going over 75 mph in 70 zones. Trooper lights everywhere. Finally eased up past Pensacola. Left Dallas early because just didn't want to deal with snow on some of the highrise overpasses. Had fun with the family though. Saw old friends from Alaska that live near DD. Cool house on 2 acres. Thought there was a cool house next door. Turned out it was their five car garage on their 2 acre lot. Goodness. You can get a lot of house for the money in Texas.

Glad you made it back safe! I thought about you and wondered when you left. I can so relate to those rainy drives to and from SoWal.
Yep, we only got a couple of inches, but I think they got more up towards Plano and Frisco. What a first day of spring!!

Good Morning, DD . I saw :wave:McKinney got over 5 inches. :yikes: Actually, hope the Frisco area got more as my son wasn't happy that I left a day early because of the snow. Could not believe how fast drivers were going in Dallas with the heavy rain Saturday am. Looks like the snow is still coming down from North TX 20, Shreveport to Alexandria for that Texas I-20 to LA 49 route. That will make it unusual for Springbreakers traveling that route to and from SoWal. Is it sticking? Perhaps visibility is more of an issue.

I can confirm that DD we are on the edge of Plano and we received about 5 plus inches over here! I haven't been out yet but I may take a few pics before the sun comes out. I heard there were blue skis in Fort Worth. Heard there were plenty of wrecks too! Good thing you left early DuneLaker!
