Tree Ordinance Workshop

Tree Ordinance Workshop. Walton County Planning and Development Services would like to invite you to a public workshop concentrating on the creation of a Landmark Tree Program that would be adopted by ordinance.

This workshop will provide landowners, developers, engineers, and other members of the public with the opportunity to provide the County with feedback and to discuss tree protection in Walton County. Please join us March 10, 2025, at 5:30pm in the Freeport BCC Boardroom located at 842 State Highway 20 E Suite 118 Freeport, FL 32439.

What a joke! Live Oaks have to be 4 feet in diameter at "breast height" to be protected??!! Where would you even see that in SoWal except for Eden Gardens State Park and maybe a few other areas around the bay here and there?

Agree. Seems like clear cutting is the norm. Such a shame for a beautiful area.
