Drug-free, local tree service seeking ground worker with an interest in arboriculture. Relevant experience preferred. Willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities/Requirements
• Assist climber and other ground crew members in aspects of tree care and removal.
• Keep job site safe & organized, drag brush, rake & clean up (regularly lift/drag/pull 50 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs)
• Be physically fit . . . capable of rigorous, outdoor, skilled labor.
• Operate a chainsaw (mechanical experience a plus)
• Work safely while wearing all appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as provided by company.
• Have some work experience with outdoor, physical labor (landscaping, farming, construction, etc).
• Knowledge of basic knots, rigging equipment and techniques (a plus).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Work safely with job hazards including equipment, drop zone awareness, loud noise, dust, gasoline exhaust, chemicals, etc.
