Has anyone seen United 93 yet? I'm not sure if it's been nationally released. Just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on it. :dunno:

A friend of mine and I saw it over the weekend...Just wanted to compare notes.

I believe it's still in limited release, just NY and LA? I don't know when the nationwide release date is.

Don't know if I want to see it or not. Normally I'm a news and history lover, but I'm not so sure about how I feel about this part of history....

So, what did you think?

Ok. I know it premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival...but wasn't sure if it went national.

I thought it was a good re-enactment of the day. It was pretty intense. I mean it was like nobody was moving or breathing the entire time- especially at the end. I saw the A&E movie- or Bravo- whatever the made for tv movie was and thought the movie was actually pretty similar. While it was sad, I didn't cry, and I'm a cryer. It was more intense than emotional in my opinion. I just can't imagine if I lost someone on that flight, having to watch it unfold again. Even though they all gave the director the go ahead to shoot the movie.

As far as it being "too early", I think really facing anything like this will always seem that way. With WTC coming out in August this may ease people into dealing with it.

I saw it here a couple of weeks ago. Initially, I didn't want to see it but my fiance really wanted to, so we went. I didn't want to see it because I knew it would be hard to watch and knowing that it wasn't just a "movie", but that it was a real, live story made it harder. I thought it was really well done. I didn't know anyone directly affected by 911 and I think for those who are like me, this movie kind of brought it home even more.
