I won!!! :rotfl: Kidding! Haven't submitted an entry yet!

Donna, what is the latest? Anybody winning this horse race so far? If someone picks just one of the colors, can they get salad, or dessert??

I do like the parchment palette (sp??)!

Update coming this weekend. We have received so many great ideas from a number of people. Have narrowed the choices down to about three combos and plan to pick one of those soon. See new menu to whet appetites, too. This has been so much help and such fun for us, too! Thanks to all. And for anyone who has an idea not yet suggested a pallette, it's not too late.

Donna,

I still have some combos to get to you if you will take them. We had a severe family crisis and after weeks of upheaval things are getting back to normal this week and I am back to posting on SoWal. I picked out several combos for you based on my little Ben Moore chips, but I haven't been to the paint store yet to get the bigger chips. I think I will have a chance to do that today. My plan has been to photograph the combos and email the photos to you if you are still interested. I read about your dog Butter -- would you say he is more Ben Moore White Dove or White 01? :D

Oh, TFT, you are too funny!
So sorry to hear about your family crisis. Hope everything is looking up.

Our painter will do Conch Out the week following Labor Day. We would like to have it done sooner, but wet months followed by back-to-back bookings preclude that. This gives us time to consider any and all suggestions, which we are very thankful for. We remain completely open-minded at this point. I am printing out all suggestions and have received some in the snail mail, too. Some are incredibly creative and well thought out---impressive! Here are a couple of things we're keeping in mind. First, although we want a color that we are happy with, we are also concerned that the house fits into its environs. We are already apologetic about the size of Conch Out (although we bought it, did not build it), so a jarring color would be politically incorrect and might embarrass her with her fans. Second, wall murals are not part of our current thinking. Finally, the house has a tin roof that will remain in place and two levels of wraparound natural wood decking, which will also remain in place, with probable stain/sealant but not paint. We do not have the budget of the Golden State Bridge Authority to have deck painting on a constant basis.

More food-and-wine pairings coming to a thread soon!

Donna, have you looked at the new stains that are on the market? Some have a fair bit of pigment in them, so even though you're not "painting" you can still get plenty of color. :clap_1:

Speaking of paint colors...Gypsea I found Copan Blue. I love it! I love it!! I have been looking for it since New Year's and I finally found it. (I mean just the little paper thing I didn't buy a can yet!)

Whiteyfunn, how are ya? I miss you! Don't torture TooFarTampa and me, resident paint junkies, by mentioning a color and giving no extra info. :bang: I LOVED all the colors in Gypsea's house so tell me which one this was!!!
