Curious, why is the spinach so expensive? thx.

The spinach that we have in stock right now are the young baby spinach leaves that have been pre-washed and are certified organic. The rains from last weeks Storm affected the local crop and we had to have this spinach shipped in. We have it bagged in 1/2 lb bags and you do get a lot in each bag.

We do sometimes carry the bunch spinach from Florida that is a great deal less expensive, however, again the rains from the storm washed this weeks crop away.
