Not sure the best catagory to put this thread under, but here goes.

I'd love to speak to someone who is knowledgeable about videography, specifically regarding equipment and accessories needed to produce quality video, including software for editing etc. Particularly someone with outdoor experience.

I've looked at reviews of equipment online and recommendations, but to speak to someone with a direct, intimate, working knowledge of the process and who has nothing to sell, I just think I'd get the right information.

Any help would be appreciated.

I always use the B&H Camera catalog for reference. 450 pages of every possible thing you would need. Not saying you need to buy there, but get a catalog from them. Its amazing.

Thanks. I actually ordered my camera from b&h and subsequently was sent their catalogue and yes, you are right, it has a substantial amount of equipment for sale.

I guess talking to someone who would understand my exact needs and who could steer me away from notions that I incorrectly held, and to better things, is kinda what I'm after. You know how sometimes after you've invested your money you realize the error of your ways.

But I think I'll press on in one form or another and however it happens is the way its gonna be.
