The Visit South Walton Event Marketing Support Program is intended to support, grow and promote local special events that have the ability to generate overnight stays, strengthen the Visit South Walton brand and enhance the South Walton vacation experience. Applicants whose events are accepted into the program will receive a combination of marketing support and reimbursement funds that are intended to achieve the above-listed objectives.

Timeline:
- January 22: Applications will be made available at visitsouthwalton.com/partners.
- March 26: Completed applications and all supporting documentation due to Visit South Walton.
- Online applications will be available via visitsouthwalton.com/partners.
- March 26 – April 8: Applications and all supporting documentation will be reviewed for completeness and satisfaction of eligibility requirements by Visit South Walton staff.
- April 9 – April 23: Event applications and all supporting documentation will be independently scored by a TDC committee.
- April 26 – May 3: Visit South Walton staff will review and compile the score sheets completed by a TDC committee to determine which events have been accepted into the program and at what levels of support.
- May 7: All final information provided to Executive Director for inclusion in TDC packet.
- June 1: The Walton County Tourist Development Council will meet to approve the events selected to be a part of the program.
- June 8: The Walton County Board of County Commissioners will meet to approve the events selected to be a part of the program.
- June 14: All applicants will be notified via email of whether or not they will have been accepted into the program and, if so, at what levels of support.
