Walton Co. Sunshine 30A Trolley launches for the summer
WALTON COUNTY, Fla.
Starting Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend the Sunshine 30A Trolley will be shuttling
people up and down Walton County.
The Trolley began about four years ago by Sunshine Shuttle & Limo owner John Finch.
"It's part of the culture now. So we have the best beaches, the best restaurants, and now free transportation. So it makes us even more of a desirable destination," said Finch.
The 30A Trolley expanded from an eight to a 12-mile stretch and includes Gulf Place as one of the stops.
Seaside Public Relations Director Lori Smith said it's worth the ride.
"You know riding the trolley is fun...30A is a different kind of area, and people are coming in and having this wonderful experience by being able to ride the trolley, not worry about their cars and park it and leave it here the whole time if they want to," said Smith.
The stops begin at Cypress Dunes and ends at Seaside.
The 30A Trolley makes eleven stops across Walton County for residents, and it's free.
Riders can also track where the trolley is headed in real time on their mobile phones.
"Honesty it's really good. It's really easy to track where it is, the app, and it's really convenient for all of us since we live down here, " said Isabella Dumas.
Isabella and her friends have been riding the 30A Trolley since last year.
"It really helped a lot because our parents didn't have to drive everywhere, and it's really cool because we got a bunch of freedom that way... and we really like it," said Sarah-Kate Paine.
The Trolley operates 7 days a week from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
