FACT: Three of five Walton County Districts extend to and include geographical areas south of the Bay: District 1 represented by Bill Chapman, District 4 represented by Sara Commander and District 5 represented by Cindy Meadows.
District 1 includes Point Washington and District 4 includes communities such as Sandestin, Baytowne Wharf and Seascape.
FACT: One of our commissioners regularly recognizes, understands and supports South Walton interests, in particular, the goal of preserving and enhancing the unique natural environment of the area.
FACT: Many of us have chosen to live here because we appreciate the natural environment and do not want to see it deteriorated.
FACT: In order to significantly influence the future of the South Walton environment, we will need more votes to support our vision, including the enforcement of the Walton County comprehensive plan and land development code. There are so many ways these documents support the preservation and enhancement of our natural environment.
FACT: Primary elections for Walton County Commissioners take place on August 28, 2014 with a registration deadline of July 28[SUP]th[/SUP]. General elections take place on November 4, 2014 with a registration deadline of October, 2014.
