Just like to invite all of you to attend this up-coming meeting of the Walton County Community Coalition on April 20th, 2010. It will be held as usual at the DeFuniak Springs Community Center at 9 am.
Come join us for an early cup of coffee and try to help us cover this meeting and let the Walton County residents know that there are concerned residents working for them as we speak. I have invited the County's Officials and many interesting subjects will be discussed. The group has grown from opening this past winter's Cold Shelters for the homeless and now one of the biggest projects is the food bank in Freeport to provide the much needed food for all of the County's residents who are in dire need.
You are the eyes and voices for us to get needed information out to the public so I am in hopes that you will attend. The meetings are only about an hour and there are anywhere from 20 to 30 at these meetings with more joining us every month and participate. They come from Churches in the area, City and County offices a well as the Red Cross and several other volunteer groups who have come to offer their help and assistance.
