The Walton County TDC sets forth with the initiative to reestablish committees which is comprised of locals with interest in tourism and niches. Each committee member has a term of two consecutive years of whom are in good standing. Each committee will meet at least on a quarterly basis. All committee meetings are open to the public and the community is encouraged to attend. All committee members are accepted to their committees once Sunshine Law Training has been completed.

Members will assist the Walton County Tourist Development Council in the areas of event marketing grants, Artist of the Year selection, development of additional cultural and environmental programs/offerings along with expansion of existing programs/offerings. Committee members are: Pam Avera, Erin Stranko, Jennifer Steele, Susan Lucas, Steve Barber, Claire Bannerman, Elisa Sharpe, Paige Schnell and Sammy Sanchez.
Destination Improvement Committee

Members will assist the Walton County Tourist Development Council in pursuing destination improvements in the areas of capital projects, visitor center renovation, signage, safety, parks and paths. Committee members are: Maurice Gilbert, Branch McClendon, Blaine Dargavell, Jacquee Markel, Marilu Maris, Jason Cutshaw, Leigh Moore, Andy McAlexander and Fred Betz.

Members will assist the Walton County Tourist Development Council’s marketing efforts in the areas of media planning, co-op programs, social messaging, public relations and community relations. Committee members are: Scott Russell, Marilyn MacCollum, Tracy Louthain, Dan Keyser, Richard Ross, Dan McNellis, Brook Stetler, Stacey Brady and Martin Liptrot.

Members will assist the Walton County Tourist Development Council in the areas of beach restoration, beach maintenance, beach code enforcement, turtle nest protection and the Adopt a Beach program.
