Wanted: Late July Rental - 9-10 adults 2 kids!

Hello all - just been researching online for some ideas. Been a few times to Destin, Okaloosa Island, etc...looking for something in the area.

Our family will have 4-5 couples w/2 small kids and we are looking for a Tues (or Wed) check-in thru Sun AM check out stay for July 21-26.

Any recommendations? I've been told to try & budget for a grand total of $1500 or so for the group. Have seen some good options around $250/night which should work, but wanted to check w/some area "experts"

We must have a pool nearby (private or nice community), & would like to be w/in easy walking distance to the beach if possible.

Looking at a 4BR/3BA house in Old Florida Village @ Santa Rosa Beach right now. Price seems right - just seems a little further away from the beach than we would hope.

Know anything about local golf cart rentals, restrictions, etc?

I'm not an owner...but have rented every year in Seagrove/Santa Rosa for the past 15 years. With the budget you have set, you are going to have to either give up space or distance to the beach. July is high summer rental rates...if you can go the second week of August the rates drop quite a bit. Have you searched VRBO? Old Florida Village is quite far from the beach...unless you are ok with driving to the beach access....

Golf carts can be rented in Panama City. They run about $400-$500 or so for a week.

You may have trouble finding a rental house for less than a week during high season. A rental that will accomodate your group and rent for less than a week is more than likely going to be a hike from the beach.
