The tiny 6 footers at Walmart start at $250. I would like to find a used 8-10 footer for under $500.
I know Yellowfin has some used ones at their place you might want to look at.

yea... I could make a trip to see my parents in Atlanta and drop by
the local REI store a pick-up a NEW Ocean Kayak Frenzy (9ft) for
$349.99 + tax. So, I figure $200 is not bad money for a kayak
that is collecting dust in someone's garage here.

Go ride your bike!:yikes:

I really love riding my bike, but some days I need a break from all the cars
trying very hard to run me over on the bike path. On a normal ride from
Seagrove to Grayton (on the bike path), I have to take evasive action at
LEAST 3 times per ride. Kayaking around here is less stressful.

I'll give $205 for exactly what he's asking for. Really, I'd like a tandem kayak or even a canoe. When my kids or friends visit I'd like to be able to go out with them. I have an awaesome sit-inside Heritage Featherlite Fishing Kayak but want a second. But as stated, $205 and why not, I'll throw in a copy of my book :)

Hey Mike...Peter beat you to it. Isn't that funny that I had just suggested to you to do a post for a kayak. I hope you both get one and call me to go kayaking with ya'll. :D

It sure is. I came on to post and saw that Peter had a thread looking for bascially the same thing so I figured I'd just out bid him. I know I was making him sweat. I figured he'd never be able to take the pressure of such a bold and decisive step up, but apparently he used some kind of Kong Fu mental tactic on the seller or something. But I'm not a sore loser and if I happen to see Peter in his kayak I won't yell obscenities at him acroos the lake nor will I swirve at him while he's on the bike path again, I mean, for the first time, meaning, the first time, because I've never done it before :)

All's fair in love and used kayak purchasing? :nono1:

The rental companies usually have used kayaks and bikes for sale at the end of the season.
