Water Warning in 331 Area

I am in BMB, and our water went off this afternoon. I spoke w/ regional utilities, and they said there was a wtaer main break.

In addition, once water is restored, we should boil all water for the next 24 hours. Didn't see this posted on here and figured some folks probably missed it....

Should people in Seagrove Beach, boil their water?

Here is the advisory from the Regional Utilities web site:

September 24, 2009 A PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE IS IN EFFECT FOR ALL RESIDENTS ON 63 Coastal Center Blvd., Community Way, Greenway Trail (south of Community Way only), Tourist Development Council on CR 83 and the Village at Blue Mountain Beach. All residents are advised to boil all water which is utilized for drinking or cooking purposes. A rolling boil for a period of one minute is sufficient. Residents are also advised to take precautions when bathing, especially immuno-compromised individuals, infants or the elderly. This notice will stay in effect until bacteriological samples have been collected and the water is deemed safe to drink. Any questions should be directed to Regional Utilities at 850-231-5114.

Sometimes water companies don't put in newer bigger lines, they'll just add an additional line along side an existing one. It's cheaper to bury a new one then dig up an old one that is perfectly good and already buried to add a newer more expensive line. With all the construction over the years it's probably like spaghetti down there.
