Job Available Wedding & Venue Manager at The Chapel at Seaside

The Chapel at Seaside is looking for an experienced, outgoing and self-motivated candidate who will be involved in every facet of Chapel events, from venue pricing packages, secure bookings, liaise with event managers and clients, and coordinating the logistics of events.

This is a part-time position, with some evenings/ weekends required, and reports to Andrew Beard, the Pastor of The Chapel at Seaside.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Point of contact for venue bookings for weddings and similar events, promptly and professionally responding to inquiries via phone or email.
• Ensure that an executed contract is always received for use of the Chapel at time of booking.
• Engage with wedding planners, brides, or vendors, as appropriate or necessary.
• Show venue for feasibility of use.
• Maintain a timely event management calendar as a tool (Excel Spreadsheet, template, et al) to manage weddings and other events.
• Work with Pastor, board member liaison and/or the marketing firm retained by the Chapel to suggest/approve social media marketing plan
• Stay current on pricing at competing wedding venues in the area.
• Provide information to the Pastor regarding venue bookings, as well as any future needs relative to sound, equipment/audio-visual, signage, catering/reception, security and safety needs or that may be needed to enhance our revenue growth strategy.
• Completes venue use spreadsheet, analyzing for completeness, data integrity, consistency w/policy; extracts data required for reporting to Pastor.
