What do working families do for care of school-aged kids during the summer?

We have lived in South Walton for four years and our youngest daughter is getting ready to start Pre-Kindergarten next year. I am trying to be proactive and find care for her during the summer that does not require a full-time nanny or babysitter. My understanding is Boys and Girls Club fills up quickly and even current members can't re-enroll. Does anyone know if SPICE at Butler requires your child to attend Butler? We were thinking of enrolling her in Montessori.

Southern Walton County needs more after-school and summer program choices! There are a lot of dual working parents and the number keeps growing. Many thanks!

We do SPICE at Bay. But I don't know what the regulations are for kids who don't go to Bay...

Spice and Boys & Girls Club are the choices as far as I know. Check with both!

Yes, we have been happy with SPICE at Bay, and yes, they are open

There is a summer program at St. Rita Preschool but I don't know if there are any openings...
