When you look at something, how much of what you see is really your mind hard at work vs what you actually see? Just like your mind can fill in the gaps and interpret sound, your mind also fills in the gaps with sight. Look closely at this collage of photos. After you are confused as to what you are looking at, stand across the room and look again. Surprise! Our minds pretty much make up a lot of stuff that we THINK we see. We would be wise to keep that in mind when we are certain of anything.

No. I'm cool, but not that cool. The software programmers who did that have to be so smart, that they probably wear Velcro on their shoes so that they don't have to think about trivial things like tying their laces.

You can upload photos to mozaiq.org and they pull from all other uploaded photos to create what is basically big pixels made from photos, based on color and lines. It would be really cool if you could do it using only your own photos, but I guess there isn't enough in the way of colors and shapes. Go check it out!

That is really cool. I pretty much get the same image when I'm close as when far away, so I guess my imagination fills in "accurately". Another thing you can do besides standing across the room is shrink it down to about 25%. I actually "see" a ponytail underneath the her hat.
