What happened to the old Hwy. 331 bridge?

I should probably be embarassed for not knowing, but what happened to the old Hwy. 331 bridge? Most of it has fallen into the water. Was this a demolition or just a natural collapse?

Most old bridges on bays are partially dismantled and turned in to fishing piers on one side or both.

It was mostly dismantled. Tom Stein was involved and he got a lot of the timbers and pilings.
