Hey there reipan40! I am not in SoWal right now, but grew up going to Galveston. Is this your first trip to the panhandle? Be prepared to be amazed.

June Grass is green and fine. Sometimes we also have Sargassum which is brown and course.

Sharks don't like June grass. It gets in their gills.

Drive slow, but not too slow, and don't block the aisle with your cart. Also, if someone asks you "how do you spell funn"? You should answer "the otter flies at midnight". :rotfl:

:clap_1::clap_1::clap_1: If you do, be sure to inspect your items closely at checkout, just in case I was blocked by your cart.

and in boat motor water intakes (shiver! - a truly scary moment recalled as the motor overheated and died at the worst possible time from a nice heavy snotgrass buildup plugging the cooling water intake!) - we have reschuled for july, but unless you're bringing a boat (with a motor) you'll be fine - its not in the pool, not toxic, just algae (and there's a lot worse in the ocean water) and kind of looks like wet green dog hair when you find it later

That reminds me of my husband and son when they go shopping with me, usually only at the beach. I will get to the check out and have items in the cart that I had no intentions of buying-condoms, spam, pickled pigs feet, monster size box of feminine products, etc. The boys think this is a riot; of course it isn't real funny to them when these items make it back to the beach house and someone has to go back to return them! :dunno: I can tell you that no female makes that return :clap_1: Of course they still do it the next time because they really think it is funny!
