Sounds great. I love to cook on Easter, but because daughter is in ATL, Mom is in Peachtree City, I can't get everyone together at my house to cook for all of them.

I want to see the bluebonnets in TX. Nephew1/godson was born on April 8 and I was in Dallas for the labor and delivery, but I don't remember the bluebonnets. I'll have to roadtrip in the spring sometime to visit you, MK, and my nephews.
Happy Easter, DD. you!

:love:Backatcha. You come on any time!! The bluebonnets are rather unpredictable though. Sometimes we get tons, other years very few. It all has to do with fall rain. So, your roadtrip might have to be spur of the moment when we call and say...........BLUEBONNETS!!

Oh, I don't know. I have a feeling I haven't cooked my last one. But girl, I know what you mean about the Ritz. Haven't been to the one in Naples, but have been to Boston. Have we talked about this before? Anyway, it was one of the most memorable meals I've had.

I remember you telling me about that! We ate there 24 years ago, on my sister's first wedding anniversary. We are were all so young then. Like you, we had a meal that still makes me smile. Maybe that's why I have such a soft spot for the Ritz. I can count on one hand the truly memorable meals I've ever eaten.

I can too. Most of them I cooked!! LOL!!
Seriously though, that one was probably at the top of my list. I used to love to go to Lawry's here in Dallas too for prime rib. We haven't done that in ages, but it was always sooo good. Then, there's a few visits to a couple of places in Fort Worth--Reata..oh my...fabulous! Now, I need to go cook me a big ole' hunk of meat.

We'll be in Texas for Easter. Our son was Born April 10, and the Bluebonnets were spectacular. Hope to roast a leg of lamb. We'll celebrate his birthday, watch the Masters, and attend church services in the Dallas area for Easter. This is one of those years when all those special events happen on the same weekend.

I hope the bluebonnets are still good for you this weekend. They seem to be peaking here, which may not bode well for my trip south, but I'm sure we'll find some sort of entertainment. ;-) Sorry I won't be around, but I'll see you in SoWal in a couple of weeks. Have a glorious Easter and tell your son Happy Birthday!!!!

:D...you have no idea what DL and I have planned for you.

BR!!! I am so glad the Blue Ridge Grill is still around. We used to dine there all the time when we lived in Georgia. Merman's office was just down the street so it was really convenient to meet him there for lunch. We had some pretty good meals there.
I had forgotten that Merman worked in that area. Sister worked in the office complex just north of the Houston's on West Paces Ferry (another good place to eat on Easter) when she worked for EDS as an engineer. She lived in Australia for six months while working for them. She had to fly to ATL and borrowed Mom's car, an old Oldsmobile Cutlass that had been stolen once (and I found it! The thieves ran out of gas, and I found it abandoned on the side of the road!). Anyhow, it got stolen a second time  in the parking lot of that office building! Who would have thought someone would have stolen that car in Buckhead with all of the Mercedes and BMWs there?:dunno:

Happy Easter, everyone!
