Sometimes you just need ordinary items. You go to walmart and generally get them for less. On the other hand, try to make it a point to get nice stuff some place else when you can afford it. Don't buy a bathroom medicine cabinet from walmart, it will be crap. Buy cat litter, tube socks, cranberry juice, vacuum cleaner filters, batteries, exlax, neosporin and duck tape. Then let the party begin.

Let the record show that I buy relatively expensive toilet paper. Case in point, we were down to half a roll yesterday so I picked up a six pack of the stuff at Watercolor Publix. Usually I like to buy a 12 pack or whatever the largest quantity there is, but no way will I do that at Publix because it is so expensive.

The publix brand tp is great, and not expensive. A lot of times they have a pretty good deal on other brands too.

We Americans should be using bidets instead of TP. The paper consumption alone is immense, and the sanitary considerations are obvious. If you really want to buy TP at it's most cost effective, buy it by the case from someone with a sysco account.

SYSCO!!! Gaahhh:eek:
I'm all for bidets, but then there is the whole water shortage thing. Maybe we should all take heed of Sherly Crow (sp?) (who will be playing at the Red Bar tonight I heard) and stick to three pieces:idontno:

How are bidets more environmentally friendly than TP?

Increased water usage, increased towel usage, increased plumbing, increased manufacturing of fixtures vs. my recycled "Greenwise" TP. :idontno:

Dude, Publix has had a special on Cottonelle with Aloe Vera TP this past week -- only $.50 per roll.

On the bidet thing, maybe we could use reclaimed water for that one. Currently, Regional Utilities has to pay a crap-load to pump all of that treated water up to large grass fields on the outskirts of Freeport to get rid of it, so it might be cost effective. However, I can't see the standard 5x9 bathroom in SoWal being retrofitted for bidets.

If the SRB Walmart comes to fruition, you won't catch me there out of principle. Hubby is not belligerent like I am. So if you see our vehicle there in the future, I am not in approval.

I hope that the Walmart venture fails prior to construction in order to stop the not-too-late-to-change DESTINy of Santa Rosa Beach.

Yeah, but I bet you'll ask him to pick up your favorite TP while he's there. :D

Too much Toilet Paper?

Ah ha! Now we get to the real problem....too much toilet paper. Walmart and Publix should stop selling toilet paper too.....I bet you have it in your sanctuary on 30a. Holy Cow.:floor:

Existing toilets can be fitted with sprinkles for your anus. Not quite the same though.

In Europe do they have public Bidets? Do I really want to use the Bidet in the Needle Park toilet facilities? All I can think about is the scene from Trainspotting.
