WORLD CENTRAL KITCHEN
World Central Kitchen Hurricane Michael Response | Facebook page
Sunday Oct 21
We are activating another kitchen in Panama City and are need of volunteers. If you are able to come help for a couple of hours please come to Hiland Park Elementary at 2507 E Baldwin Rd, Panama City, FL 32405.
If you are able to please come anytime between 1pm and 5pm.
World Central Kitchen has fed thousands of meals to first responders and victims of the devastating storm that hit Northwest Florida. The crew was on the ground in Bay County before the hurricane hit land preparing to set up a long-term food relief effort as they do in disasters all over the world.
Chef Jose Andres established World Central Kitchen in 2010 as a way to help communities recover from disaster with nutritious food. They were on the ground in Puerto Rico for more than six months. And have just wrapped up operations in North Carolina after Hurricane Florence.
Emeril Lagasse visited his friend Jose last week and helped prepare hot meals for first responders and hurricane victims in Panama City.
You can follow their work on Facebook for updates and locations. They are asking for daily volunteers in the field to expand their kitchen relief.
There is still tremendous need to support communities impacted by Hurricane Michael with the comfort of a hot meal. Donate now to help us purchase ingredients and supplies critical to our operations and help us reach our goal of 300,000 meals! worldcentralkitchen.org

Yesterday we cooked and delivered thousands of hot meals across the Panama City area. As the days go by, people are getting more desperate for help without electricity or water. We continue to expand our operation to reach more neighborhoods in the hardest hit areas. #ChefsForFlorida
