Wasn't sure where to thread this, but, decided to put it in the Lounge. I'm just curious at your thoughts or experience, with vacation ownership?

I know that some of you have vacation ownership experience, or at least some opinion on it, right?
My parents have owned through them for several years and it has been a good experience. They don't have much on the gulf coast (one in Destin, one in PCB) but there are lots of good properties.

Thanks, NoHall, for your response. The reason for my curiosity, is because I just started working, with Wyndham Vacation Resorts. I work out of the Majestic Sun Resort, in Destin. I love it and this is my second week, of training. Next week I'm taking a week long excellerated Real Estate course to get my license, which is necessary. Personally, I never knew about the great benefits and huge amounts of money that you can save vacationing, untill I started with them. Anyway, I'd still love to hear of anyone's experience, please. I wished that I'd had a vacation ownership, when my kids were growing up. At least we'll be able to enjoy great travel, with my grandson, soon!

Sounds like your info or experience, is from the older/bad timeshare ownership, where you're locked in to specific weeks, locations, etc... If so, no wonder, you're not a fan. We don't like those, either!:angry:It's not for everyone, but, if you vacation over time, you CAN save alot of money! Thanks for your opinion, though!
