Katz: The category is romantic. I'll give you Edward Sissorhands, because it was so sweet, but Million-Dollar Baby... I dunno...

I love "Somewhere In Time" A very sweet story and interesting concept.

Yes - funny, but not romantic. Why?

It's hard to spoil a movie with Meg Ryan but he has done it twice.

Must Love Dogs
"She was a unique constellation of attributes; she was my Halley's comet. But the universe is designed to break your heart, right?"

While You Were Sleeping
The wedding scene when Sandra Bullock says, "I'm in love with your son," then "Not that one, that one." And Bill Pullman looks like a man who's just been given his life back.

Forgot The Wedding Date. Not a great story, and Debra Messing's (normally fabulous) hair is atrocious in it, but OMG!, Dermot Mulroney is to die for in that movie.

HaHaHa LVT For me romance was there...subtle maybe, but it was there. I personally consider it was one of the best romances of the soul I've ever seen.

But I'm sure not many would agree with me. I guess it's those rose colored glasses I can't let go of.

Letters to Juliet - wonderful! It has the most amazing pictures of the countryside near Verona, Italy. A 'must see' for the romantic at heart!

I think this is going to be one of those movies I buy for when I get homesick - always get a kick out of the "locations" they show as being somewhere else in Italy.

Oh, I forgot -- Out of Africa. The scene when he washed her hair and the scene when he took her on the plane ride were awesome. And the Mozart.

That being said, Redford's character was pretty much a duck (change the vowel) in the movie. He wanted it all with no strings attached.

Our favorite Christmas movie!!

We watch The Family Man with Nic Cage and Tea Leoni at least twice a year. At the end when he says "I choose us" oh, I just melt. Someone else mentioned When a Man Loves a Woman. I love that movie too also Forrest Gump which many might not think is romantic, but I loved the way Forrest loved unconditionally:wub:

Thanks DD!
Another romantic movie: Benny and Joon, especially the part where John Hiatt's "Have A Little Faith in Me" is playing.
