South Walton Summer Fun for Kids

South Walton is bursting at the seams with events for kids and families in the summer season! Our latest SoWal List has activities especially for kids, either on the beach or when they are taking a break from the beach and ready to try something new and exciting. We hope you find something they will really like and make some SoWal memories to last a lifetime.

Summer Surf Camps are popular and are usually offered at Ono Surf Shop in Seasied and various other spots in SoWal.

Movies Under the Stars showing in Seaside, Rosemary Beach, WaterColor, and Alys Beach each week. Bring your blanket or chairs, kick back and enjoy an outdoor movie under the stars! Movies usually start after sunset around 8 p.m. and are free and open to the public. Check the SoWal Events Calendar for dates and titles running throughout the summer.

Camp Showtime with Seaside Repertory Theatre offers creative adventure on stage! Kids age eight and older will participate in storytelling, improv and team building. Camp takes place at Seaside's Meeting Hall Theater.

Family Night at The Village of Baytowne Wharf offers fun and fireworks every Tuesday evening,  7-9:30 p.m. Challenge your friends to a variety of lawn games such as corn hole, ladder ball and even a giant, inflatable Twister game! Visit the Baytowne Live Stage for face painting with Abrakadoodle! Fireworks light up the sky at 9:15 p.m.!

Children's Outdoor Theater entertains the whole family with comical productions by The Repertory Theatre in the Seaside Amphitheater. teh Alys Beach Amphotheatre, and at Rosemary Beach in North Barrett Square - free and open to the public.

The Village of Baytowne Wharf offers fun and adventure all week! Every day is a thrill for kids of all ages at Baytowne Adventure Zone where you can soar across the lagoon on the zipline. Then head over to the ropes course, coconut climb and eurobungy! Find more fun around the corner at Blast Arcade and Laser Maze. Cool off at Adventure Bay, the new floating water park located at Baytowne Marina.

The Boathouse Paddle club on Western Lake in WaterColor offers standup paddling and other fitness adventures for kids, as well as fishing.

Fired Up Paint Your Own Pottery is Seaside's fun, family friendly studio where you can paint your "art" out on unique pottery pieces. Just show up for painting fun during the day, or call and reserve a spot and drop off your kids for an evening of painting and a party with popcorn, pizza or cupcakes!

Miracle Strip is a small amusement park with big fun located at Pier Park in Panama City Beach featuring various rides and activities. See the gulf from the top of the Big Eli Ferris Wheel, one of several rides preserved from the original Miracle Strip park (1964-2004). Summer hours are 12-11 p.m. daily. Pay for rides with individual tickets or pick up an unlimited ride armband.
