Modica Market, a family-owned and operated gourmet and specialty market, has served the town of Seaside for over 15 years. Sarah and Charles Modica began in the grocery business more than 50 years ago in Bessemer, Alabama. In 1988, the Modicas were talked into (by town founder Robert Davis) opening their location in Seaside with their son, Charles Modica, Jr. to open Modica Market, now one of the country's leading gourmet markets serving the finest in food and wine.
Modica Market has been highlighted in CNN’s "On the Menu" on several occasions and featured in hundreds of articles in magazines such as Vogue, Travel & Leisure, TravelSouth, and Conde Nast Traveler. Modica Market was also seen in the Jim Carrey movie, The Truman Show.
