Sit on the dock of The Bay and waste some time. Situated on the shore of the Choctawhatchee Bay at the foot of the 331 bridge, The Bay embodies life on the water in SoWal.
Created by Chef Jim Shirley, the restaurant opened in April 2014 to rave reviews and has since become a local mainstay. Arrive by car, paddleboard or boat to satisfy your cravings, play cornhole, or relax by the fire with a cold beer.
The menu at The Bay is inspired by Southern Gulf Coast cuisine, with a little Asian flair. It’s a place where you can get everything from a Seafood platter and Chef’s signature Faux Ya Ya Grits, to Shrimp Lettuce Wraps and Sushi…all from the same menu.
For a hearty handheld, you will love The Bay's marinated Grilled Chicken Sandwich. It's practically dripping with Fontina cheese. Equally delicious is the Bomber Burger that was featured on Emeril's Florida.
A 55 ft. long indoor bar provides a place to sit and enjoy some of the best sushi in town, and The Bay’s 12-draft beer system guarantees you won’t find a colder beer anywhere else. The wine list is chosen by Chef Jim Shirley himself, and The Bay has received a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for his efforts. Creative cocktails round out the bar scene at The Bay taking mixology to a whole new level.
With all the happenings at The Bay, it’s easy to see why locals love to hang. Happy Hour goes down every day from 4-6 p.m. with drink specials. Every Wednesday night is bonfire night at The Bay with live music. Brunch is served on Sundays from 11 am -2 p.m featuring local bands and good times.
