Speaking of tipping over in Western Lake (I promise not to name names, Ms Kitty), the six foot Alligator which I saw this evening is growing. ;-) Someone better reel in those kayaking skills within the next couple of weeks.

No prob, Smiley J. I was at Target this afternoon and luckily I found some bug spray still on the shelves. That should repel that pest, shouldn't it?

RiverOtter, you new boat held up very well to the Gator -- of course the boat was still on top of my car when I saw the Gator. :funn:

Jdarg, the Gator was small and wimpy like the Univ of Florida Gators Football team. (OUCH!) I could have taken him on by myself with no problem.

Pest? Not a pest right now. We don't have enough of them in the Lakes to be pests, ... for now, but you best not be swimming on Black Creek at midnight. ;-)

 Hmmmmm........... I guess that's better than in the dumptster after you saw the gator :D
Not a problem for me. The boat had a couple of feet on the Gator and was much wider. Really, the Gator would have hauled booty out of there if I paddled up to him.

When I was a kid in high school, I used to work around Gators quite often, many much larger than this little booger. They are mostly curious, unless the mama is guarding the nest, and then she can get very aggressive, but nothing that a five foot long piece of pvc pipe cannot handle, in a gentle yet firm hand.
