I know there must be such a thing out there somewhere. My border collie, Rudy, loves little plush toys, but as soon as it squeaks, he's terrified. Won't go near it again, walks a wide berth around it. The salespeople at all the pet stores are speechless when I ask for such a thing. I guess Rudy is the only dog in IL, maybe the country, that is a skeerdy-cat of little squeak toys. We got him one last Christmas where I unstitched the belly, removed the squeaker, restitched it. He was thrilled and carried that little "baby" everywhere; even slept with it. Well, it finally bit the dust and I was hoping to find one already "prepped," so to speak. Please let me know if any of you dog lovers know of such a toy or a resource. Google didn't turn up much of anything.

Maggie (who is recovering from snake bite as we speak) got hold of one of the grandkids little plush toys, a little armadillo. About the size of your hand. I guess that is her baby, cause she has never even sank her teeth into the thing. This is the dog who eats sofa cushions, shoes, etc. So, I guess what I'm saying is maybe just a child's plush toy from the toy dept. would work for Rudy too. :dunno:

Wow, what an idiot I am. Never even considered a child's plush toy. Guess that's why nothing much came up on Google!! I guess I have mentally kept the 2 categories of "toys" separated in my mind.
Thanks.

I have a great idea. Buy the toys, give them to my dog, he will not rest until the squeak is out of the toy, then I can give them back to you. However they may not look to good....:rotfl: :rotfl:
