We went and mingled yesterday outside the dome before the game. It was an unbelievable electric atmosphere. The weather was gorgeous, bands, lots of fans dressed-it was really alot like a college tailgating scene. Everyone was SO HAPPY;I know many people are sick of hearing about poor New Orleans, but the day and certainly the game was like prozac. It really meant something to us. Mrs Skunk cried when U2/Greenday did their thing and I have to admit, when I saw the crowd shots of the kids (and parents) in the stands just getting the chance to forget about FEMA, insurance, trailers, crime, levees and just RELAX and SMILE, I was emotional too. Doing something like going to a football game is pretty mundane really, and trust me, mundane in this neck of the woods after the last 13 months is a Godsend:clap_1:

I am glad you and mrs. Skunk had funn!!! Boy I wanted to be there, it was hard leaving listening to WWL on the radio gearing up for the big day. :sosad: I also cried at the u2/greenday thing. Very emotional...... I am so excited for the Saints and the residents of New Orleans they certainly deserved it.

Did I hear correctly in that the Saints had sold out all their season ticket packages for the first time in franchise history?

If true, this is the best news I've heard in a long time.

Certainly, it should put to rest any rumors of the team re-locating following this season.
