Just ten hours to go! Yes, in the meantime I will see Big Sam's Funky Nation, My Chemical Romance, and the Flaming Lips. But nothing compares to seeing your first love, now does it? Tonight, I will see John Taylor. And Simon. And Nick. In junior high I really loved John, but sometimes other girls would call him first, and I could like Simon for his deep, poetic lyrics. Nick was a fall back. Simon, John, Nick, Roger, & Andy. Happiness and joy!
I've been thinking a lot about set lists. I am hoping they open with Is There Something I Should Know? and that we get to hear New Religion and New Moon on Monday...I haven't heard either live yet. I'm pre-gaming now with The Chauffeur, their best live. It's just Simon and Nick.

So when did you first realize you were gay?
My main gay, Chadd, was supposed to go with me. The night before, I had gotten really sick and had to go to the emergency room. I called in sick to work the next day. Chadd was also my assistant, and had some attendance issues on the day of big events, so I had to pretend I wasn't going. I forced Skunky to go.
But, to answer your question...I think it was when the lights when down, and they came out one by one in profile illuminated against a big red screen and the hair raised up on his arms. Or perhaps when he went to the restroom and realized he was standing next to his friend Tripp from high school...both of whom pretended to not know how they came to be at said concert.
