Oh Toots...I sure hope Mermy has mearned her lesson. I'll never forget my first Thanksgiving with Mr. Kitty in Belleville, IL. That gray bread stuffing was pukey!!!

Oh Miss Kitty, dear darling Miss Kitty, I've been spending the last year practicing saying "DRESSING." My turkey is going to be stuffed with DRESSING! :clap_1:

When is the Christmas Parade and what time is the Turkey Trot? I want to make sure I am properly placed with my bubba keg o' mimosas to see you trot by. In lieu of a bullhorn I will raise my keg as you pass.

turkey trot starts at the end of the street and we go to watercolor and back time TBA. i take my bullhorn and wear my "turkey" costume. i'm more of a walking cheerleader :roll:

Mermaid...repeat after me..."I will not call dressing...stuffing...I will not use BREAD in the dressing...I will use CORNBREAD....I will not put OYSTERS in the dressing...just some neck meat. I had one Thanskgiving up North and the stuff they served as dressing was made of white bread and tasted like GLUE! Oh, how I choked back the tears and then later called home and pleaded for a real Turkey dinner for Christmas!!!

Kitty, we make our stuffing/dressing with day Italian bread , but we mix it with sausage fried in garlic and other seasonings and some turkey juice. It's YUMMY.

I just had the most funn reading this thread!:clap_1: This was before I knew SoWal even existed...and you are all now grayt people that I know well and love dearly!
NOW I am so hungry I could eat a horse.....:roll:
BR's Tomato pie, the corn bread casserole, brussel sprouts with hazelnuts, corn bread dressing, roasted asparagus, mac & cheese, sweet potato casserole.................this all sounds soooo good, I can't wait for Thanksgiving!!!!!!

okay, where's the cornbread casserole recipe? I missed this. let's start a thread under dining and post all the thanksgiving recipes we want to share!!

I need to find my reading glasses. I first read this as you will raise your leg as she passes.
