okay, where's the cornbread casserole recipe? I missed this. let's start a thread under dining and post all the thanksgiving recipes we want to share!!

Mango, repeat after me...Cornbread dressing. No white bread of any kind allowed. :nono1:

Here's what I do do do...

bake cornbread and crumble in bowl
add cooked wild rice
add Trinity that has been sauteed in butter (actually just green onions and celery, no green pepper)
add turkey neck meat that has been simmered in water, onion, celery
use stock from above to moisten
add poultry seasoning, salt and pepper to taste
put in casserole dish and heat it up when ready
serve with good ol' turkey pan gravy (no giblets for me)

I forget what trinity is in cooking. I'm catholic so I know its the father, son and holy spirit, but this won't do in a recipe. except for praying for its success..

Sorry, the Italian Yankee in me likes her Italian bread and sausage stuffing and garlic. I even put garlic in my Cheerios.
What the he!! is Trinity? Sounds kind of religious. ;-)
