Oh Tootsie, I couldn't be any lighter if I were filled with helium.

Funny...never heard that before.

I am a chronic and incurable smart-a$$.

No, Really? Who would have thought that for one second? :dunno:

I will just need each of your addresses so I know where to send the bird flu, I mean ornaments.:D

I don't think I would like this. I am just now getting over the "regular" flu, and it has been a biotch...can't imagine what the bird flu would be like.

 ...BC, you give Miss Kitty way too much credit, but she will take it. :D

That has to be the bestest heart felt SoWal.com wrap-up!!! I have always loved the endearing dysfunnctional family I have here. We certainly do laugh, bicker, cry and whine!!!! I think I can understand the feeling someone new might have reading the closeness so many enjoy. But, remember this...we were all new at one time!

OL...make sure I get BC's name. She asked for it!

 :nono1:

Dammit, I missed a whole day of board family dysfunction. That'll teach me to leave the house again.

Liv's Mom- you wouldn't have known this, but any mention of Bird Flu sends Beachrunner off the deep end with panic. ;-)

BeachCrazy is the best board biographer ever.

The Mofo Wenches need custom T-shirts.

Now, back to ornament trading.

I usually don't chime in on controversy but I feel the need this time.

When I first found this board it was after Hurricane Dennis and Katrina had turned many lives upside down. I asked a couple of questions and received very good advice and information. I became intrigued with a few people named Sueshore, Kimmifunn, Jessifunn, Whiteyfunn and Smiling JOe. I soon began to live their lives with them through this board. I learned that Kimmifunn worked at Macy's in NYC, Miss Kitty lived in Dallas, Jessifunn lived with whoever would take her - JK!, Whiteyfunn lived at home and later moved to the city, and SJ was a mystery to most. As time went by, you could see the bonds beginning to form stronger and stronger with each trip to SoWal and also in between.

Kimmifunn lives an exciting life as a twenty something single female with it's ups and downs, that we all have helped with at some time or another. Kim, Jessica and Whitney met in SoWal as teenagers and grew up there forming a life long bond. You haven't lived until you've seen a funn fight online with incriminating pictures to boot!

Miss Kitty became the queen of the board and we must all obey.:lolabove: We have learned that Miss Kitty is the life of the party no matter where the party is. She lives life to it's fullest.

The board administrator "Daddy-O" has always been fair and just. One day out of the blue along came his better half - Tootsie. Sweet Tootsie. It wasn't long and Tootsie became a part of our SoWal family. Then around the first of the year a quiet ,kind of to herself, Allifunn came along. Recently divorced, she was still healing and used the board for companionship. We soon found out that AuntyAlys now known as Allifunn was Daddy-O's sister! I could go on and on about members who became my friends...

We have been through births, deaths, divorces, graduations, loss of beloved pets, holidays and everyday life together. I would never trade the board for one or two "sometimes your friend" friends. This year is when the board has really got going and we have soooo many regular posters. The key to being an active board member is to keep up with what's going on and sometimes I admit, it get's hectic:eek:

Some of you know and some do not, what my beliefs are and how I cherish the Word of God. So I'll close with this -

Proverbs 18:24 (New King James Version)

24 A man who has friends must himself be friendly....

I love you all

BC
   WELL SAID...and a tear in my eye!!!!!  I heart you girl!!!!

Three fishermen were fishing when they came upon a mermaid, the mermaid offered them one wish each so the the first fisherman said: "double my I.Q"..so the the mermaid did it and he started reciting Shakespeare.
Then the second fisherman said" "Triple my I.Q."..and sure enough the mermaid did it and amazingly he started doing math problems he didn't know existed. The third fisherman was so impressed that he asked the mermaid to quadruple his I.Q and the mermaid said: "Are you sure about that? It will change your whole life!"..the fisherman said yes so the mermaid turned him into a woman.
:rotfl: :rotfl: how true is this?????:lolabove: :lolabove: :lolabove:

BC - you just made me cry. what a sweet story of sowal. all those that end up as mofo wenches are biches on wheels with good hearts and who never ever complain when someone (OL) is doing something very special for the rest of us - like organize this ornament exchange.

OL - you are great for taking the initiative. whatever you say my little pancake. why not make it interesting and say that you MUST have 500 posts, and then we can get the young wenches sweating it out over the next few days posting their tits off. I think that would be wonderful entertainmnet, and kind of an initiation of sorts. and if they don't make it, well, then they have to send ornaments to everyone on the list...

:D

I'm in... can I buy a nice ornament instead of make one? I love making them but not sure if and when I'll be able to get around to it. who knows...
Toots...you are wonderful, as always!!!:D

Okay---Update!!

You may choose to buy an ornament or make an ornament for your secret sowaller. This should not cause stress.:D Funn only. :clap_1: There are alot of really cute and unusual ornaments out there. When I'm at the beach I always buy an ornament even though it's summer time. My favorite is a cute little starfish santa.

You have until this Friday to decide. I'll be drawing names and then emailing everyone with their secret sowaller's info.

Lastly, I need your input. What should our "mail by" date be? And should we set a date and open our packages on a certain night? Maybe the Secret Sowaller's online Soiree?
