from me to you. If you have not done so already, I would recommend everyone reading this, to go today and get a flu shot. If you do not like to get them, or think they are worthless than I would recommend you stay locked in your house until flu season is over. Today is the first day since last Friday that I have been out of my bed for longer than 10 minutes (except to go to the doctor). I have been so sick with the flu that I can not even decscribe the feeling to you. I completely missed Christmas. Thank God for my sister who came down and took care of me and cooked for my family for Christmas. I usually always get my flu shot, but this year when my office was giving them, I had a little cold and couldn't get one. I never did, and boy did I ever pay for it. I finally got the strenghth up enough to go to the doctor on Tuesday and they did do a flu test on me which came back positive. Duh, I knew that. Anyway, I have been taking several meds, and today feel better. I have a lot of catching up to do.

When I turned my phone on this morning guess what? I was serenaded by PHEAD singing "Afternoon Delight" to me. He and kimmi were on their way to the beach. Thank you guys!!! I will be in touch with you!!!!

Aww KDW, so sorry you were so sick!!!!!! We had our shots thank goodness! Good advice though!!! Glad you are feeling better! What a sweet sister you have!!!

Thank you, all of you for your well wishes. I think I am going to make it. Here is the skeery part of what the doctor told me. I am sure skunky can elaborate. He told me that it is not usually the influenza that kills people, but the secondary infections that they get caused by the unfluenza, if they wait too long to go to the doctor and start meds, such as lung infections and pneumonia. I had already gotten the bad respitory infection. It had not turned in to pnuemonia yet. So I am glad I went to the doctor, even though it took all I had in me to get there. This is scary. And it is not too late to get the shot. When I am completely well, I am going to get mine!!! Take care everyone!!!
