hello from Berlin

well, cork & I survived the last few days!! What a great adventure! We will post complete reports when we return...but it has been amazing! All the places we have seen! Venice was wonderful! tantalize you by saying we were sprinting through the streets of Venice at one point... We hopped on a overnighter bound for Brig then we got on the glacier express up to Zurmot high up in the alps of Switzerland to see the Matterhorn!!!!!! We made our way back to Germany and stayed in a quaint hotel in the quaint little town of Singen. Another train to Fussen to see Ludwig's castle (Disney Castle) Spent the night on the train...not much sleep...and now we are in Berlin trying to decide what we will do next.... Not sure if we will make it to Finland...so we may head to Budapest or back to Amsterdam. So far we have been to Germany,Holland, Belgium, France, Austria, Italy and Switzerland :clap_1:

I forgot to mention that we stopped off in Munich and went to the haufbrau house and had a ommpah time

I adore Berlin! Had never been there before last summer.
Guess the weather is a bit different now, but that place seemed so *happenin'* and fun. Will you do any stuff like The Wall or Checkpoint Charlie?
We enjoyed the Freischwimmer Restaurant by the river.
Whatever you do, I am sure y'all will have fun.

Can't wait to hear the details! If you go to Finland and are in Helsinki, be sure to go to the almost all glass old building that's now a restaurant near the dock. It's one of the few buildings left after the big fire in Helsinki and it's a beautiful place. It's at the end of the Esplanadi (sp?) street that is the major shopping street. I don't know if the food is wonderful, but the building is charming.

That is an awesome castle. It is the Neuschwanstein castle I believe. I have a jigsaw puzzle of it.
