yes, our dear pope is indeed catholic...

alli, so glad you enjoyed venice... it is so unique and only one of the hundreds of wonderful old places throughout italia. though it is one of a kind for sure. I remember running through the streets and alleys and over the bridges with joy, and running from rats, and just running because we were lost as sheeit, and trying to find some sort of familiar landmark...

wonderful...:clap_1:

we did not get a chance to explore Berlin..but I would love to go back and see the palace and the Zoo (which is supposed to be one of the largest in the world!) We just passed through there. Would have loved to see the wall....:sosad: Go next year for sure, girl!!

I loved EVERY place we went, but my top 3 are Venice. Salzburg and Brugge ( would have liked more time here!) Each place has been special and wonderful in it's own right! We have hit all the best that this part of Europe has to offer!  Venice is by far my favorite forthe beauty and the history. I did not find Venice to be anything other than wonderful. It may not have been the claenest place in the world, but thta is all a part of it's beauty...it is well worn, loved and lived in. Venice is comfortable in it's own skin! Some of these younger cities are charming, but do not wear their history and heratige as well.

How much longer are you gulls going to be over there?:D
