Life Backwards

I want to live my next life backwards:

You start out dead and get that out of the way.

Then you wake up in an old age home feeling better every day.

Then you get kicked out for being too healthy.

Enjoy your retirement and collect your pension.

Then when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day.

You work 40 years until you're too young to work.

You get ready for High School: drink alcohol, party, and you're generally promiscuous.

Then you go to primary school, you become a kid, you play, and you have no responsibilities.

Then you become a baby, and then...

You spend your last 9 months floating peacefully in luxury, in spa-like conditions - central heating, room service on tap, and then...

You finish off as an orgasm.

I rest my case.

Thank you for the compliment but seriously, I thought everyone did a "Dessert First" dinner at least every once in a while! It's the stuff of childhood dreams, eating your cake before your liver....

My most daring meal change is popcorn and ice cream...I hate to admit, but have never had dessert first. Definitely will give it a try.

I believe it was the late great Erma Bombeck who coined the phrase, "Life is short, eat dessert first". She said something about those women on the Titanic that turned down dessert after dinner that fateful night, and ended up going down with the ship. Great article; I believe I may still have the clipping. I live by this rule. I'm a few pounds heavier and multiple times happier!
