Interesting choices on that list, audie. I know my friends in Denver, whose parents have a place in Oregon, had the hobby of collecting the glass floats from Japanese fishing boats. They had several.
So the Scotch bonnet is supposed to be elusive? I have found lots of them here at St. Joseph Bay, especially after a storm. They are one of my favorite shells, along with baby's ears.
Been shelling at Captiva near Sanibel, beautiful place, there were lots of shells there.
I remember finding a bizarre "shell" full of holes with little worms darting around inside it. I threw it back. Mostly remember finding lots of olive shells, which there are plenty of here.
Been to Tunnels on Kauai and don't really remember a lot of shells, but it certainly is a cool place.
Look forward to getting to Cumberland Island some day, but the spouse doesn't like to go to places where Elwood isn't allowed.
