American Idol Season 6

On our local news that followed American Idol, there was a film interview with that little girl. She was on the set for the filming of Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader and the show asked them if they would like to attend the American Idol show. Our news said she is 13 years old. Don't know whether she had a sibling participating in that show or whether they were just in the audience.

She was definately "overcome" with emotion.

The universe must be comprised primarily of teenagers, I guess. And each and every one of them owns a cell phone, evidently.
Either that or it's another side effect of global warming.

They are also the ones' buying (or have their parents' buying) the cds, just like we did when we were teen-agers!

I thought the girl was my daughter's age...sorry, I would have had to slap her up side the head and told her to snap out of it!

Only now it's MP3's! My kids want iTunes cards now instead of CD's.

If you think about it, young teenage girls now don't have any male teenage singers that they can go ga-ga over. I think Sanjaya is filling a niche that is missing for them (even though he can't sing that well). We had Davy Jones and Bobby Sherman and they couldn't sing very well either, but that was beside the point.

Only now it's MP3's! My kids want iTunes cards now instead of CD's.

And I am thankful for that....they buy songs and not albums most of the time.

I have to ask this - - was anyone else as amazed as me at how great Lulu looked? She's 60!! She never looked this good in the 60's! I thought she looked adorable last night. And it dosen't look as tho she's had a face lift. She dosen't have that frightened, stretched face. :shock:
