Phil was the best male tonight and I liked Gina too!
I have been Sanjaya's supporter for many different reasons, but I hated his hair and song choice tonight. On Americanidol.com, they said he wore the ponyhawk as a tribute to one of the singers in No Doubt. I know most of you don't like him but I hope his performance tonight doesn't get him voted off. I really want to hear him sing Diamonds and Pearls by Prince.
Phil on the other hand, has a beautiful voice. It was a great song for him!
I felt sorry for Chris Sligh. If he can record a cd without dancing, maybe his timing would be better!

I didn't like Sanjaya's hair either. I agree w/ Mango re: Jordin's song, needs a real band and dancers...something! Ugh and her outfit. Yuck.

I thought Phil chose a good song for him and I thought it was his best yet but I'm not a big fan of his.

I still like Blake.

Loved Lakisha, Melinda and Gina! Lakisha and Gina looked fantastic, Melinda looks better in things with a collar. The girl just has no neck at all.

Well supermom, we're in the minority. I actually do like Sanjaya's voice. He will find his niche in a few more years. That's why he needs to have thick skin and tough it out. Does anybody remember Donavan from the 60's? Sanjaya's voice is very similar. It's all a matter of different music preferences. However, I think he's still a little weak and young. And who cares how he wears his hair? More power to him for taking a chance. If he backed down and looked, sang and did the "norm," how boring would that be?

I hate to say it...but I think they're going to keep him as long as they can. They get so much press with people making fun of him...
