Final Installment
Today was a very chilly day but darned if we weren't going to hit the beach anyway. We were going home tomorrow and it was so sunny and the water was at it's peak of beauty. I'm mad at myself b/c I didn't take more pictures on this day. I took a walk in the morning and snapped a few but when we went down for the day I didn't bring my camera with me. I didn't realize my other pics weren't all that grayt at the time.
We got back in the afternoon and Steele mama had left me a message. We had planned to meet up sometime on Friday. She was going to be at the pink house and we were planning on eating at Amore so I told her we would stop by. Mr OL was like...do you know where you're going? Do you have an address, directions? No, I said but I think I can find it. ;-) We only made one wrong turn in Grayton and eventually found it. SM met us at the door and made us feel at home right away. She's just like her posts, I her and her family but I knew I would. Steeleing 1 & 4 were there and Grayton Kid too. Dylan and GK hit it off and were off to play Club Penguin on the computer. I had envisioned that if they ever met it would be surfing the waves and not surfing the internet.
SM gave us the tour of the lodge and it was really cool to see and hear the history. Steeleing 4 will be heading up my way this summer and we talked about that. SM called Amory for the sowall word of the day so we could use it for dinner.
We would have loved to have been able to spend more time but we all had places to go and people to see! SM was off to the Rep for another show.
We had dinner at Amores and really loved the pizza. So bummed that we didn't have it earlier in the week so we could try different kinds.
The rest of the evening was spent packing and getting ready to go home. We left at 4:30 the next morning. :shock:
I really loved meeting everyone and it makes me sad to even type this. I feel like I'm missing my family. I've always been sad to leave the beach before but this time it was reallly different. I hate being so far away.

OL, what an absolutely wonderful report all the way through!! I can tell from your writing that you love that place so much. Leaving to me is always so sad. My only hope is that someday, I won't have to leave.
