I love this simplistic " Jerry Springer-esque" line of reasoning. I never personally owned a slave ; I never personally hurt an Indian ; I never dropped a nuclear bomb on anyone ; I never put U.S citizens in internment camps. Not my fault so bite me right.

The same joker will be the first to take credit for all the great things the U.S has brought to the world-- democracy , freedom of religion , the Constitution, and on.

Ask them why they deserve all the priviledges of living in this country , and all of a sudden they will tell you how many generations they have been here ( may even put it in their online name ).

I believe that the last sentence in the first paragraph was a question, so I?ll address it as such. I?ve never defended slavery, so that is a red herring, and I?m not getting into the other stuff you addressed and let you change the subject. I have never met anyone who has taken credit for democracy or freedom of religion, much less the Constitution, so I think you are padding your word count with fabrications and diversions. I believe that the playing field is as level as it ever has been, and it is well documented that the state granting privileges and concessions based on sins of this generation?s great-grandparents makes the problem much worse. I resent the statement that based on the time my family has been in this country (6thGen only refers to Florida), I feel entitled. I?ve never said that, I?ve never acted with a sense of entitlement and despite what the hens here give you credit for on scoring points, you?ve done nothing but change the subject, post falsehoods and attack me personally. 6th Gen, where do you stand on inheritance taxes and issues regarding passing wealth to subsequent generations?
Do you feel heirs have a right to the fruit of their ancestors' labor or should they start on an even playing field with everyone else?
