I can forsee a funn scenario when I tell my kids we are going to see "Dr. Skunky." I hope you do realize, Dr. Skunky, that your real name is going to mean nothing in SoWal. :rotfl:

 What will the Doctor of Skunks' specialty be? Hopefully, geriatrics so when we all retire down to sowal all us old sowal'ers can be among his most specialist patients. :D That is a lotta hard work .:clap:WTG, ya'll!!! ...was wonderin' what the countdown was until . Thanks for the 411, gull.

He actually did a double residency -- internal medicine and pediatrics.

I can foresee a scenario where people call the office and want to make and appointment with Dr. Skunky. The poor receptionists will be trying figure out which doctor smells the worst.

For all the extra time and effort spent, I hope he'll do both. His reasoning in doing a internal medicine and pediatrics combined residency was that he really likes kids, but also wants to have the challenge of more complex patients that require an internist. I think he is hoping for a mix of patients, but since he's the first med/peds physician in the area it will be a challenge for him to explain that he is highly capable of managing a patient in a NICU or an 80 year old with diabetes, COPD, and BP issues.

We need to go through a little retraining around here for when Skunky officially becomes the kids' Doc. I don't think they should run through the office yelling "Hey Dr. Skunky! Pull my finger! Will you draw a tattoo on me? Why do you have to work- I want to go fishing!! etc ect." They are going to have to learn about the professional Dr. Skunky and the playtime Dr. Skunky.

I guess those rules will have to apply to me as well!:rotfl: :sosad:

we have a dr here who does this exact thing, he has both adult and peds pts and everybody loves him.
