no dogs here. even when dory was alive she didn't sleep in bed with me - i was too restless for her, and we both wanted the whole bed to ourselves. she would however sleep with mr audie all night long.

Ours both sleep on the floor, at the side of our bed, my side, that way when I get up in the middle of the night I can play 'step thru the dogs in the dark' game. When pups they would scratch on me and my side to let 'em out in the mornin' but now it's just a good loud collar shakin' to say I'm awake mommy. They are so sweet to always let their daddyo sleep.

Sounds way too familiar! I usually have to rub my eyes at least once when I get up in the middle of the night so I can focus before I play. I think they would like to get in the bed, but one is 100 and one is 110.... maybe one day when I get a King size bed:dunno:

Thanks for the headsup about ticks, BR.
My kid found one on himself about a month ago.
I think I'll check Elwood thoroughly today, even with the Frontline.
I know *of* mastiff people who actually let their 200 pound dogs sleep with them, but we never got into that. Only kitties.

Not only did I find a tick crawling on one of our quilts last night, this morning I looked down and found a another tick crawling on my ankle. I was freaking out. Made my husband get it off of me. Luckily it wasn't attached. Cannot go outside for one minute without having something on me.

:yikes:

Were they dog ticks? I don't think I could have seen them if they were deer ticks. They are so small that the one that bit me was on my hand for a few days. I just thought it was a little age spot or a tiny scab from my poodle's rough play (she likes to box and pretend-bite, but sometimes she accidentally nips me).

These probably were dog ticks. They were easily visible. Ticks totally creep me out.

But he is kinda cute and wants to give you a hug LadyD!

Nothing cute about them Skunky. I checked the sheets last night before going to bed to make sure there were none in the bed. Luckily there weren't. It's a shame we cannot even step outside without having one on us after coming back in. EEW! But I'll be glad to send a few your way Skunky. :rotfl:
