Just finished watching "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid." Dadgummit. Hated the ending. Now I'm gonna have to get out "Lonesome Dove" to get the bad taste out of my mouth.

I know...I hated the ending too. RR was just too darling for words in that flick though...

I've always loved RR, but Newman was extra-darling in that one, too.

Yep. Had to change my siggy. What a great story.

Yep. Newman was darling too--guess that's why it made about a hundred zillion dollars!

Wow. Kimmi thinks 100 of the greatest films ever made are all "boring." I guess living in Cali has transformed Kimmi into Paris Hilton.

So, Kimmi, what should be included, Roadhouse? Dumb and Dumber? Melrose Place: The Movie?

:yikes:They made a movie!!! Is it on dvd yet? I love Melrose place!!!

I agree with you Ocean Lover. The films of the 40's 50's and 60's are great classics. There are very good films today also like Pans Labrynth from last year or this years factual and riveting Breach. I love films that tell a great story and touch the heart. The expression on film of human emotion or humans in difficult situations or moral dilemnas are things we all can learn from or empathize with. I think Clint Eastwood and Steven Spielberg will be considered masters in the same league with Hitchcock, Wyler, Wilder. Cukor, Ford and Sturges.
