Random Thoughts

Just finished loading the car for the long awaited SoWal vacation. Who would've thought a beach vacation that ostensibly involves minimal amounts of clothing would require so much stuff? If anybody sees a blue Odyssey on I65 tomorrow evening trailing a shower of sparks from the undercarriage and shining headlights into the sky.....that'd be us.

Mrs. ATJ dropped me at the office this morning so now I await her return to begin our 12.5 hours of highway bliss in the World's Heaviest Honda. :shock:
Fortunately, we'll be overnighting just south of Nashville this evening so the chance of bloodshed (mostly mine) is hopefully negated to some degree.

I think driving the WHH this evening will remind me of the scenes from Vacation where Chevy Chase drove the Griswold clan cross country in their "family truckster" station wagon. Although I AM packing plaid shorts, I'm afraid the white, patent leather loafers are sadly missing from my wardrobe. Damn, that would've been a good look.
