You are anti Mother Theresa?

Congratulations, I didn't think you could still surpise me!

Spending your life living in poverty and devoting yourself to helping those undergoing great suffering.........

You're right, nothing admirable there!

I don't agree with all of the Catholic churches ideas or policies, but many who have chosen the religious life do a great deal of good.

So clearly the choice in this thread title is revealed.
It appears so.

If only you put as much energy into POSITIVE thinking and ideas as you do into negative ones.

OBVIOUSLY me saying that stereotypes, an us vs. them mentality, and personal attacks that overlooked the good work people did, were contrary to peace meant that I supported Hanoi Jane!

Do I hear an echo in here?

Also, It seems the fact that I would not argue the Hitchens book went overlooked, and seemingly the same issue I brought up is being reverberated.
Now y'all just proved another facet of why one might not being able to achieve peace.........having to get the last word........not listening to what other people have to say or respecting ones opinions or wishes......... hmmm. Very eye opening.

You'll have to assist me on this one. I'm not afraid of Ms. Fonda, and I do not love her. So I guess it isn't all that clear.

You never said you wouldn?t argue with the Hitchens book, but you do offer the talent of avoiding any question I pose. Again, I?m against blanket get of out jail free immunity in the event someone puts a peace sign on their Prius. I?m all for peace, but I believe it?s childishly na?ve to believe you can achieve it by hugging one's enemies.

Well said Mango.

I have read the more you argue against something the more you make it true/real. By our own words we bring fear or love into our life.

I'm not advocating "blanket immunity" just a little tolerance/perspective so you're not always throwing the baby out w/ the bathwater.

As for attaining peace through showing others affection and acceptance, I don't think it's childlishly naive......

Love the quote Kat and so appropriate.
I think I will have to make that my signature line.

My fault on the response above - I saw all of the scooterbug quotes and didn't even realized who posted it. You didn't argue with the facts on Hitchens. She didn't agree or disagree, she just ignored them. And scooterbug, it helps to look at motivation for those pushing for immediate peace.
